Home Church Group, My House! "God is in Control!"
Well, tonight is home church night at my house. We alternate you see, about 6 houses, sometimes more, and we all take turns.
Tonight is sandwich night, so easy as far as the dinner meal is concerned. We always do extra cleaning when its our turn of course, so my house is looking marvelous. You should see my kitchen now! Dont get me wrong, we are not slobs, but as most homeschooling families know, we all really live in our house, so it more or less looks "lived in" most of the time.
This week, the thing that God has impressed upon me so much is, "I cannot be god for God!" As women, I think we all have that emotional tendency to worry and fret over things that are completely out of our control. Take homeschooling for example. I often feel that I come so short, especially when I compare myself to other mothers who are so organized, meticulous, intellectual, ambitious ect....
I am more relaxed and MUST lean on God for my childrens education and for their futures, its just TOO BIG A JOB FOR ME alone in my own abilities!! I often find my self waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat panicing: "I am not doing enough, I am not doing it well enough, I ruining my kids!!"
And the other issues in life, like the past! None of us can go and fix the past or the remove the pain of the past. We can only place it under the precious blood of our Savior whose loving Grace is sufficient! He is ultimatly in charge, and ultimatly able to do exceeding above what we can ever hope for or even think about. I often worry myself into a pit of hopeless despair. But He knows our frame, that we are but dust! I am not the healer: Jesus is. I am not the provider: Jesus is. I am not the comforter: Jesus is. All I can do each and every day is throw myself at HIS feet and ask for His Grace and Mercy to take me and help me to be what He has ordained I should be. It is not by might, nor by power, but by HIS Spirit! Its all in HIM. I cast my cares and my anxieties upon His strong and loving shoulders, and in return, I take His peace and wait for His hand to move in my life.
Blessings to all!!

I would really like to know more about your home church. It sounds very interesting and more like the church of Acts.
Yes, that is what it is based on. The church in the house of.......
I would love to share more about how God led us out of the institutional church, and showed us that He wanted us to BE the church, with JESUS as the head. It is a very long story. LOL.
If you have never read the book "Pagan Christianity" by Frank Viola, it is a great place to start.
I will probably be posting more about homechurch, and how God led us to this point very soon.
