Kim's Kitchen
Well, I wanted to share some photos of my house and kitchen, and of course, my most favorite appliances!
First, I will show the husbands favorite place, the woodshop/ barn!

The little building next to it is the fort he built several years ago. The kids hardly ever played in it, and this is one of the things that will be sacrificed in our garden expansion project.
The next thing I have to show you is my favorite place in the house. My kitchen. It has been the site of many wonderful and palatable creations, as well as some major flops and embarrassments that I am trying to forget. I won't tell you about the green stuffing one thanksgiving. They thought I had the wrong holiday- St. Patricks Day!! Well, I cannot take all the blame for that blunder, I actually followed someone else's recipe, but I will never live it down!
OK! kind of messy, I know. It is a rare occasion that this room is in pristine condition. I use this room day in and day out. We really *live* in our house! My favorite thing about my kitchen is the pot rack, which my husband built, and the refridgerator that we purchased with the "new mattress" fund. You see, we had saved up for a new queen size mattress and box spring last year, but when we went shopping for them, we passed the major appliances, and the rest is history! My back is still stiff and aching in the mornings, but I have a great refridgerator!
In the background, maybe you can see my mixer. This is a Magic mill DLX 2000, which just recently replaced my Bosch Compact. The Bosch Compact was great, it handled a double recipe of bread dough which made 2, 2lb loaves, and it handled all my cookie doughs ect.. with no problem. The Magic Mill was something I had wanted for a long time, and never even thought about buying because as you know, I am still saving for a new mattress. But this came as a sweet surprise from the Lord and my sweet hubby.

Oh, I must also show you by sidekick. I use this almost everyday. This is the Nutrimill. It works great and I love it. It grinds all of my organic grains into a nice fine flour. With the freshly milled grains made into wonderful breads, cookies, muffins, waffles, wraps ect... you get living vitamins and minerals that most folks in our modern culture never had, since the whole milling process changed back in the early 1900's, refining and stripping the germ and bran away from all of our store bought flours (even whole grain ones). To benefit from the real life-giving qualities of the grains, you must grind it fresh and bake with it right away, in order to get the nutrients before they oxidize. We have experienced many health benefits since we began home milling organic grains.

Right now, I have to go get the pizza dough going. I am making 4 large pizza's and garlic breadsticks for dinner tonight with friends! YUM!!
Will post more soon......
