My husband's brother is a watercolor artist in Vermont.   I always feature one of his paintings in the header of my blog.  Here are some of my favorite summer paintings he has done.  Some of them are so detailed and precise, they look more like photographs.   We're proud of his national recognition in recent years!  Keep up the awesome work, "Bro".......

Egg Cam Ready to Record Hatching

Our Little House On the Prairie News:

The 4-H Egg Cam is set up and the eggs are set to hatch April 13th.  You may want to mark your calendars and tune in for the hatch by egg cam.  We hatched chicks for several years....it is a fascinating process, but one that requires patience.  It can take hours for a chick to struggle out of its shell.  As an observer, you just want to "help them along" a bit.  But if you manually assists in the hatch, the chick often dies sometime in the first week.  It is the struggle itself which strengthens them for their future life.  For this reason alone, sit down with your kids to watch the chicks hatch...God allows our struggles to strengthen us.  Our kids need to know that we allow them to struggle for the very same reason.
