Seasons of Life..... and making plans

Today was such pretty day the sun was shining and it was in the 50's. The girls went outside and had fun in the melting snow:) I believe that they have went down on their sleds over 50 to 60 times:)
Yesterday was Laura's birthday we took her out to eat and let her pick her gift out. I can't belive my youngest turned 11. Mary's birthday is on Wednesday we will do the same for her but we also have her youth group and small group on that day so the day will go quick. Mary will be 14.
Now as the girls are getting older I am starting to think about the other seasons of my life. I am now wondering what God has planned for these next few seasons. My husband likes to make plans and think about going on vacations and adding to our garden. I am the type that just sits back and tries to wait for God to lead. Now I wondering if I fail to plan Will I fail the plan? Should we have a plan? Will I miss out on things if I don't think ahead? I have looked back and have seen many things I would have liked to have done either God didn't want this or I just didn't listen to His timing So Now what? Should we start looking towards the future making plans? I am not to sure about this?
Well tomorrow the girls have school and my husband is off work so he can get a few things done around our home. We are hoping to get a few things done in our garden too. It won't be long and we will be able to plant a few things.
Blessings to all,
Ma

Wow - two birthdays in one week... what fun!
David & I recently discussed our future plans. He's been with the same company for 8 years now, and we want to make sure we are prepared for retirement - hopefully an early one! At this point in our life, we are just looking to the future and trying to imagine what we want from it. In retirement... we've realized that we don't want to travel the world and see exotic places. David & I both look forward to the days that we can sleep in together, then piddle around the house and the yard, enjoying our respective hobbies and not having a schedule to conform to. We can go visit family and friends at leisure, and have our grandbabies over for days on end to give their moms & dads a break. The simple life - that's the retirement we desire. We pray that God will help us get there in His time! :-)
Enjoy the spring - we are looking forward to planting our seeds soon, too!

That's a big change in the weather since the previous posts with all that snow! Maybe Spring is right around the corner.
