Snow!!!!! and Budgeting......

Tonight we are suppose to get 4-6 inches of snow and then some ice. We haven't had a real snow this year. The girls are hoping it snows alot:) My husband has already taken off work so he is ready for a snow day:)

We had a really nice weekend although it went way to fast. Saturday my husband had to move our old couch to my brothers and then we picked a few things up at Wal-mart. Sunday church then Sunday School my one daughter went to a friends we came home Oh! after we stopped at Block Buster we are now watching the 2nd Lord of the Rings. Well not actually now we watched half yesterday and we are going to watch the rest tonight. I think it is sort of scary... I wish I would have read the books maybe I still might ???

Today the girls did their school work, I did my daily things and put out some bird seed. My daughter that is in the 8th grade is working on our family budget. My husband and I have been trying to work on a budget for sometime and when I saw my daughter was learning about budgeting, checkbook ect... I thought It would be a great idea to have the whole family learn and work on our budget. My daughter has learned alot about money today. I loved watching her brain work on how to put all the money in the right places:)  I am so glad we "Homeschool".

Blessing's to all

Ma

Snow

They are forecasting just an inch or so for us, along with ice. I wish we were in the 4-6 inch range! Maybe we will get more, since they really can't tell that well! It sure has felt and looked like it all day, here.

I agree with you on the LOTR movies. I have seen some of the movies (and enjoyed them) but the books were much better. We have decided not to watch the movies as a family, mainly because of those ugly bad guys that can be a bit scary if you are not used to seeing things like that.

I will try to call maybe tonight or tomorrow. Hopefully the snow will have to keep me home too!

God bless,

Eric

ps
We woke up this morning to nothing. It hadn't even rained - no snow at all. It was sprinkling a bit on my way to work, but nothing freezing. Oh well.

What a wonderful blessing you are giving your daughter - teaching her to budget by reviewing yours with you! It would have been so helpful if I had someone do that with me before I got married - instead of reading a "perfect" budget in a textbook.

Snow... oh, snow. The kids can't wait for it to snow here, but it doesn't seem like it is going to this year. We've had glorious springlike weather this week - today was 72, and we actually went over 80 earlier in the week. Michael complained that he didn't want it to be summer already on that particular day, LOL! Poor guy - I wonder what he'll say when it's a 110 in August? Enjoy the snow for us - we'd love to have some down our way! :-)

Isn't the beauty of homeschooling so GREAT! To be able to do those kinds of things AS A FAMILY? I'm still learning all kinds of things from my boys!LOL
