The Best Christmas present.......

We are a little tired from a busy weekend. We celebrated my brothers 22nd birthday on Saturday. We also had our couches delivered. Sunday we went to both services at church came home ate Chili and relaxed a bit:)
Today we are having school and then cleaning up from the weekend. We got our couches on Saturday and they look and feel great! We can't belive they are our's:) We decided to watch Lord of the Rings to try them out it was nice to relax a bit:)
My sister-in-law gave me the "Best" Christmas present a cookbook called Fix-It and Forget-it Cookbook. Yesterday I made Chili in the crockpot and today I am making Easy Teriyaki Chicken. Yum! I love putting on the crockpot in the morning filling it up and not worrying about what we are having for dinner at the end of the day:) Thank you again Lisa!
We have been doing pretty good waking up earlier although it has been so,so cold this morning was a nice warm 7 degrees:) I just have to remind myself it will get warmer and waking up earlier is a good habit! I can't believe how much more I can get done:)
Blessings to all,
Ma

BRRRRR! Seven degrees? Now I feel silly for posting that it's a cold, rainy 46* today! A matter of perspective, isn't it? :~}

Blessings!
I really enjoy my fixit cookbook:) For us we had to change things a little because we don't do a lot of the storebought cans and such but it was really easy to turn it to fresh and it worked wonderfully:)
I have always used my slowcooker but never had a cookbook for it. Mostly just did soups and stews and roasts and ribs but when I got the book and found that I could make whole meals with different courses at the same time I was thrilled!:)
Glad to hear you are enjoying it:)
God be with thee!
