Are you in a Hurry?

Have you noticed that it seems like everyone is in a hurry. I am not just talking about on the road or in the store but at church. We were going to a small church attendence of 150 on a good Sunday. It was a busy little church people were always busy. Every now again someone would ask how your week went.

Now we go to a much larger church 1000 on a good Sunday. Everyone is nice but again so very busy. What has made us as a community to be way to busy to be with others. Now I have to admit there have been many of Sundays that we jump into the car without greeting other's but that is very rarely. What happen to the days when we invited the Pastor over for an evening meal  and fellowshiping? I wonder what it will take for us to slow down and enjoy each others company again?

We, (humans) are too 'busy' trying to live life at it's fullest......in our flesh........that we do not stop to see that if we just STOPPED, and lived for Christ, that we WOULD have life and it WOULD be abundant.
He Promised!!

We are all afraid we are going to miss something! We are afraid if we spend too much time with one or two people "what it looks like to others". We are afraid that if we don't shake hands and kiss babies in the multitudes that we somehow may pass by an opportunity.........

It's a shame.
I would love nothing more than to s l o w d o w n.
But I too, am a rusher.
My oldest pointed that out to me a week ago. I told her to point it out to me every time I do it so that I will become conscience of myself!!

You are so very right... I am always thinking about this, and trying to slow myself down. Time goes fast enough without me having to speed it up some more... I am working hard right now to STAY HOME. I know that sounds odd, but it is very easy for me to find something for the kids & I to do every day of the week, and never be home to enjoy this home God has blessed us with. Sadly, I don't know when the rest of the world will realize this same thing - everyone seems to be in a hurry, but they are really just rushing towards their own demise.

Yes, everyone is *busy*................. I believe very much this is a plague of our generation and our culture.... where no one has time for anything and everyone is busy. busy. busy...........

here is what busy stands for me:

B = being
U = under
S = Satan's
Y = Yoke

kind of puts it in perspective, eh?


I for one hate being busy busy so I don't have time for the most important....... life is slow for me compared to many....... but I chose this and I love it !!!
