I made blogger of the week! What an honor - can I say, I always hoped to be someday!

Seriously - my son takes up a lot of time recently so I often update my Homeschool Blog because it is where I chose to add the "Tristan's Journey" Posts. You know how that goes. The friends and family wait for updates.

I like to keep this blog more for homestead and simple life learning experiances.

Today is my little boys birthday though! Tristan turned 3 today. I cannot believe it. 3 years ago I would have never guessed life would be like it is now. But we are growing! Tristan calls himself "Strong and Mighty" and he is!

For anyone who does not know why - Tristan has a mohawk because his hair was thinning and I was not ready to shave it all again yet.

Hello and info on Sparrow Clubs

I was just browsing this site (for the first time) when I came on your blog. I'm from Oregon and I know a man named Jeff Leeland who wrote a book called One Small Sparrow and then started Sparrow Clubs, where kids help kids with medical problems. His son had leukemia when he was less than a year old. It's really an amazing story. You should check out their site, it's sparrowclubs.org.

I'm part of a homeschool club that is currently helping out a homeschooled child (well, she's four, but the rest of the family is homeschooled). It's pretty incredible. You should think about it for Tristan.

I wish you all the best as you prayerfully consider what to do next for Tristan.

LINDA!!! I'm SO excited that you got chosen as blogger of the week!!! Woohoo!!!! It couldn't have happened to a nicer person.

Sorry I've been so quite lately. I've been reading by not commenting too much.

Did I ever tell you that our gr-nephew, 3 year old Kade, has the same type of Leukemia that Tristen has? He was diagnosed just a couple of days after Christmas 2006, just before his 2nd b-day. He just turned 3 in January. It's been a long, hard road for them (Kade's daddy is our nephew...and besides Kade's mommy and daddy, he also has a big sister who is almost 6), but Kade has been such sweet, strong trooper...we call him Mighty Kade!
