Essential Oil Questions.
Well I was random blogging away and came upon a blog talking about natural deoderant. Which brought me to needing to get some essential oil if I want to try. I know NOTHING about Essential oils. I need some Lavendar. I want to buy online because I do not know of a store around me with it. And the chances of me taking my kids to a store for that one reason is not good.
Can anyone give me a run down on essential oils? If I am going to order some, might as well get more than one kind with the shipping costs. What others do you recommend and why?
I have heard of tea tree being common but not sure for what.
And anyone educate a clueless girl? Also, any takers on my last post question on the bar soap needed in laundry soap making?

Essential Oils
I love essential oils and use them almost daily :)
Most of my oils are from Aura Cacia. I buy at a local health food store, but I know you can get this brand online- I think they have their own website. I also have a few from Sante. They have been good quality also. The main thing to look for is that you are purchasing 100% pure essential oils. Organically grown if possible, too.
The oils I like best and use most are:
Lavender
Lemon
Geranium
Grapefruit
Sweet Orange
Bergamot
Peppermint
Eucalyptus
Rosemary..... I could go on ;)
I use lavender in the bath and for all sorts of things. Lemon, Eucalyptus, Tea Tree, Rosemary for cleaning and air freshening. Geranium smells wonderful, I put it out on cotton balls to make the house smell nice, also mop with it :) ...
Just pick your favorite scents, you can't go wrong with that!

There are so many good ones to buy. The uses are so many too. I have blogged about this on my blog. If you would like to look at my archives I have posted on essential oils.

I have read that Silver is great for an anti-persperant and we use it here for all kinds of other things. Check into getting your own silver-making machine. The original price might give you sticker shock, but to make it for yourself is el-cheapo in the long run and a lot better than paying 16.00 for a small bottle when you can make a gallon for less than a dollar. We don't have one yet, but a good friend does and she makes it and gives it to us all the time... well used to when we were in MN.
