Lettuce do Technorati

So I decided to try this Technorati thing. I'm still not even totally sure what it is, but apparently it's supposed to give bloggers extra clicky-buttons to put on their sites and such. I've heard about why it's good, but haven't got the technical details sorted out in my head yet. It's the wrong season for that. All is August, with harvest and frost threats competing to see which will come in first.

Today: More weeding. Seems like I just get something cleaned up, and I have to go back to where I started and get on it again. It's as if I never did weed those cucumbers.... Ah, well, I guess that's the blessing of too much rain. It germinates everything. If I could actually keep up fully, this would be a great year to eliminate a lot of weeds for following seasons.

On the Biodiesel Front: I am slowly, sort of, learning to be Dave's gopher in the biodiesel room. I kinda know what to do, though I don't know how to do the chemical process correctly. The point is mostly to save him some time when he's working a lot, which is almost all the time, this summer.

In Cow News: We are looking to sell the milk cow. It's not her; it's us. We're finding it a bit too restrictive in terms of being able to get out and visit people of an evening, accept supper invitations, and get to church without chaos taking over. Not to mention Dave actually being able to take a few days here and there, and get away from everything. Home is also a workplace for both of us, so that ability to go elsewhere is crucial if we're ever to genuinely relax.

Notes From Manitoba, Canada

Welcome to the Canadian Prairies! Let us teach you how to apologetically get tangled in garden hose, chase cattle across the Canuck outback, homebrew your own biodiesel and raise your own honey. Smarten up, eh?
