My oh my, life is *so* busy! The garden is coming in, house organization in full swing , school planning, summer activities for the kids....I just don't have time to blog! I am not very efficient on the computer, especially when it come to uploading pictures, and it takes me more time than I have at present to put up a nice post :o(
I was nominated for an award from schatze, thank you! Please visit her blog! I am not able to participate in it though...the time thing , ya know... but I wanted to say thanks!
I will probably post sporatically during this busy time....everyone take care!!!!

Aaaah, I am *so* happy to feel myself again after the ordeal with my choppers! I can actually look forward to my day with enthusiasm
.
We have swimming lessons this week for LittleGuy(6) and LittleBigMan(9). We had them last week also and since they were only $33 for a whole week, I decided to enroll them this week to continue their skills. We can also stay to swim for free and not have to pay the pool admittance fee, which in itself would cost as much the lessons alone for the week. We have such a nice Parks & Rec Dept. that has many fun things for the kids to do throughout the year. Since part of the programs are funded through our tax dollars, the fees are very minimal. Quite nice if you have a house full of Littles!
When we came home from church yesterday, we were greeted by our little herd(4) of goats. They ran up to the car like they were the family dogs happy that their master was home! I think I will have to put ID tags on them like pups because we live in town, just in case they get out again and wander. They are so friendly, they'd go to anyone...what little goobers!
Last evening our DD3(21) cooked a delicious dinner for the whole family....shish kabobs, rice, salad, corn on the cob, and a fruited Jello cheesecake for dessert. Our 2 married daughters, hubbies, and ChatterBox(granddaughter), came over. What a wonderful house full! Lots of noise, goofiness, and good fun. It's really comical how the adults can act so silly like kids when we get together. The men had to arm wrestle, and well, so did the women
! Guess who was the women's champion? Heehee, it was me! Me, the 46 year old Gramma! Must be all the milking I do! What a fun evening :o)
Have a good week everyone!

Thought I'd make a quick note. I feel like I have lost a couple weeks to this tooth issue...gosh, what a drama. I went on Monday for the root canal after almost two weeks of horrid pain. Well, the dentist removed the temp filling, decided not to do the root canal because of the "unusual" pain I was having, and decided to send me to a specialist. He replaced the temp filling with another.
Now, in total amazement, I found that after the Novacaine wore off, I was absolutely *pain free*. Pain free!!!!!!!!!!! I went from enduring horrid pain to no pain in a matter of a couple of hours. Something must have been wrong with the preliminary work and temporary filling the dentist did. With that and the fact that he made me endure an unbearable level of pain for *two weeks* by not subscribing affective pain meds is totally unethical! Time for a new dentist.
I must play "catch-up" around here for the next few days and promise a nice post with a recipe & some picks on the weekend. Have a great day!

.....is the only way to describe it. I am having some dental issues and while the dentist did some work a week & a half ago, I continue to have the worst pain ever. Come to find out after calling their office a *second* time, they think I need a different antibiotic and I shouldn't have so much pain still. I explained how the "pain" medication they prescribed [Tylonal w/ Codeine] is not very effective and that I can't eat or sleep [it's been a week and a half] ....but did they offer anything better?...no
. With all the perscription abuse, I suppose they are reluctant. It is ridiculous...I am in tears. I go back Monday. I actually did a "no-no" and took some of my daughter's Percocet she had left over from having her wisdom teeth extracted....maybe I should see her dentist.
So ladies, I'll be off for a few days....I'll be reading up on you, but probably won't post 'till I get some relief and can think straight :o(

....but here I am feeling overwhelmed by what I need [want] to get accomplished before we start schooling in September. Uhh...it's only mid-July, you say. Well, shame on me, I was with some other HS moms yesterday and they are already planning their school year....books, lessons, weekly organizers.
Yikes....I haven't even shaken the "funk" outta my head after finishing up this year
. My house is still in dissarray and I can't even begin to think about school planning.
Why do we moms do this? Compare...compare...compare. I know better, yet I still do it. If she is doing it, shouldn't I?! It makes me feel overwhelmed.
I need to make a list. A reasonable one. Even though I am not a schedule person, this helps me to settle my mind and see a "tentative" plan. And the things that will be done "later" aren't jumbling my mind "now".
I am going to *buy* bread and maybe even some *boxed* foods. I am even going to use my *dryer* on sunny days! Heck, I may even dry up the goat a couple weeks early. Some things gotta to give in order for me to get other things done
