I love fall - it's my favorite season of all. The light is just so clear and crisp during the fall months. Of course around here, rather than orange leaves, fall looks more like this.... (Our twins taking a dip in the lake)
Secret Sis...somehow, you musta picked up on my affinity for small calendars, though I don't know what gave it away. I really like them!! Thanks for this little cutie (it's about 2"x2", on a key ring and is full of beautiful, tropical photos.)
I spent a good bit of my childhood living on islands - so I love these pictures - they're like memories!!

I appreciate my Secret Sister so much! I received the cutest card from her ..and it arrived at just the right moment when I really needed a good giggle! I just have to share this with you....
On the front stands a cartoon, sheperd-looking guy, with his head thrown back in laughter. In front of the guy is a little goat with the most annoyed expression on his face. The goat is dripping with paint in a multitude of colors...and the caption reads, "Joseph and his goat of many colors!" Open the card and it reads, "Thinking of hue." Ha!
That just tickled my funnybone! I really appreciated the kind, personal message inside too.

I've heard from that sweet, sweet, secretive person who calls herself my sister again! Secret Sister, you are absolutely the best! How thoughtful of you to send the beautiful hand crocheted doilies today. They are so delicate and intricate that the pictures I've taken of them just can't do them justice. They make my old furniture just look "rich." There is one rectangular in shape with the most detailed pattern on it, and a circular one that is equally as beautiful.
They're just exquisite!

My sweet hubbie took the quirky little picture you see above. Contrary to what it may seem to indicate, the kids and I are not usually found sitting around together looking like sardines packed in mustard sauce. We were actually loaded up in our little space capsule at the St. Louis Arch - ready to ride to the top! Now THAT was a cool field trip!!
When we're not on field trips, you'll find us living our dream on a lovely little lake in the Lake Region of N. Central Florida - with lots of cows, horses, raccoons, opossums and gators for neighbors (...there are a few humans as neighbors too!). We're going into our 13th year of homeschooling, and even though all of our homeschooling children are now high schoolers, we still enjoy the eclectic, hands-on, literature based, Charlotte Mason method that we always have. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways, and to Him, alone, we give all the praise and glory!
