Summer is coming to a close and school days are here! Time for Blogger Friend School!! Here is the first assignment..........
A. A brief introduction stating how I got started blogging and my personal goals for journaling:
Although I'd been reading various blogs for some time, I had the paradigm that it was something you had if you were an author, or some other notable person, with a web page and all that. I finally grasped that it was something a regular person like me could do when my friend Cindy started an awesome blog and encourged me. I took the plunge back in May and have really enjoyed blogging these last few months. It has opened up a whole new area for me, especially in the areas of information and support. My goal is to continue to blog, as it is turning out to be a fun past time and outlet for me during my 'unwinding' times of day. I'd like to learn more about the computer through this too!
B. A place I would love to blog!
I guess I'm not a really wild dreamer in this area or I would say on a mountain top in the Andes or something like that. Truthfully though, my favorite place is right here, in my hammock on a clear, balmy day. I guess I'm living the dream!
C. Questions about me...
1. What time do I blog? Whenever I get a free minute to devote to it...late at night, afternoons after school is done or early mornings after devotions and before the gang gets up.
2. My favorite drink? Would I be considered boring if I admitted that I like water? When I 'splurge' though, I'll have a creme soda.
3. Favorite book? Besides my Bible - Lonesome Gods (L'Amour), with The Chosen (Potok) as a close second.
4. Favorite Dessert? My sister's pumpkin roll at Thanksgiving - with lots and lots of whipped creme!
5. My Scripture? Phil. 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This promise has kept me going through some tough times when I didn't have what it took to continue on my own.
This has been fun! I look forward to reading my classmates' answers! Have a great week!
How lucky you are to be living in your dream blogging spot. It looks like a wonderful place to reflect and blog. Pumpkin rolls and a creme soda sounds so yummy! Reading through everyone's favorite drinks and desserts is starting to make my mouth water...LOL. Phil 4:13 is a inspiring verse. Thank you for sharing your assignment. I look forward to visiting again through the school year. Have a wonderful day.
Blessings,
Meg

Hey friend, we have the same tennis shoes hehehe Twinsies again!
I love your BFS entry and yes I would have to admit, if I were in your shoes (not mine that are like yours) I would love to blog right where I was.
Welcome to my lazy little place on the web. A place to slow down and take an occasional break from the everyday routine.
About Us...
My sweet hubbie took the quirky little picture you see above. Contrary to what it may seem to indicate, the kids and I are not usually found sitting around together looking like sardines packed in mustard sauce. We were actually loaded up in our little space capsule at the St. Louis Arch - ready to ride to the top! Now THAT was a cool field trip!!
When we're not on field trips, you'll find us living our dream on a lovely little lake in the Lake Region of N. Central Florida - with lots of cows, horses, raccoons, opossums and gators for neighbors (...there are a few humans as neighbors too!). We're in our 14th year of homeschooling, and even though all of our homeschooling children are now high schoolers, we still enjoy the eclectic, hands-on, literature based learning style that we always have. The Lord has blessed us in so many ways, and to Him, alone, we give all the praise and glory!
Soli Deo Gloria!!

There are those who say it can't be done -
That your dreams are too big and your hopes too high.
They must not know the size of the God you serve.

“A friend is someone who knows the song in your heart and can sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.”
We are...
...a Christian family desiring to raise our children with the primary focus on Training their Hearts!
III John 1:4
"I have no greater joy, than to hear my children walk in truth."
Proverbs 22:6
"Train up the child in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it"
Deuteronomy 5:29
"Oh that their hearts would be inclined to fear me and keep all my commands always,so that it might go well with them and theirchildren forever!"
Train up a child in the way he should go— but be sure you go that way yourself.
The character of our children tomorrow depends on what we put into their hearts today.
