It screams at me from the screen, "Add New Entry" but alas...I must have blogger's block (...is there such a thing?) So, like swimming in a the lake when it's cold... I'll just have to take the plunge... jump in and sink or swim! Here goes......
I just read this quote over at Musketman's blog, "I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once." Ha! That's me!
We've been busy, busy bees lately. All of the children were very active with Vacation Bible School this year - leading classes, puppeteering and just generally helping out anywhere they could. It was a waterpark theme, so the kids came home soaked every evening - with lots of cute stories about the little children in the classes. It was neat to see how much they enjoyed working with the younger children. They had a blast! I basically had some time off this year... my only contribution being to create the little puppets used in the skits. Here is Blake with two of the VBS friends created....

I used my 'time off' to do some curriculum planning and get my ducks in a row for this coming school year. It was a blessing to go to last weekend's curriculum fair with my list all organized. I was able to find most of what I needed there too!
We've also been busy getting Tucker ready for his Miami Outreach Missions Trip. They work so hard in that South Florida heat while there, that he is required to pack at least two shirts for every day. With having to be there a week - that's a lot of shirts! We had to do some serious shopping! I've been to town twice this week already. My, but it's hot there too! My car thermometer read 107 yesterday as we drove home. It was kinda neat to watch the temp on the thermometer drop a few degrees as we got closer to home and began to be surrounded by trees and fields rather than asphalt and buildings. We love the country!
I'm looking forward to spending today at home. Unfortunately, we had a minor flood last night . Thankfully, someone discovered it at about 1:30 or it would have been a major flood by this morning!! Anyway, the water filled the bathroom and crept into the hall and living room. All that is tile, so no big... but then... it proceeded to seep into the carpeted bedrooms.... uh-oh! Now we have a tub full of soaked blankets and towels and wet carpet to deal with. I'll have to run out and rent the Carpet Doctor, first thing, to take care of that. I'm so very thankful that it wasn't worse... oh, and that it was clean water!!
Hope everyone has a fabulous Friday and a wonderful weekend!
