For me, a date book to record all of the activities and things that this bunch of mine has planned is absolutely essential, and since I like to buy the academic date books that start in July and go for a year, I found myself, last week, in our handy-dandy office supply store scrutinizing and studying every last date book in their stock.  

     "Are you looking at allllll the books they have?"  (This from my ants-in-his-pants boy who was already running thin on patience after a 'browse' through the craft store, when he'd much rather be out on the lake wind surfing anyway...) 

     Despite the less-than-entusiastic support of my onlookers, I plundered on... and look at this gem that I found... 

     It's a weekly assignment book!  Ok...so I'm getting a little too excited about office supplies .... I know I'm not the only one out here who does THAT!  Anyway, this is a cool little tool that I think will make it easy to stay organized with our homeschool plans.  The inside opens up ....

with room to scribble out plans for each day (I love seeing the entire week on one page), AND (drum-roll please)..... it's color coded!  ...yellow is for homework, green for fun stuff, blue for tests.  There are also special sections left for doodling (which is absolutely essential!).  Cool huh!
