Cranes, Cranes, and More Cranes!

The Sandhill Cranes arrive in October and leave us sometime in early spring, but we certainly enjoy hearing their haunting cries and seeing their playful antics as they feed in the cow pastures while they're here!

They head up here in the spring and we have two nesting pairs that live on our back 40 every summer. It's great to hear their "melodic" ;o) cries as the sun comes up in the morning.
