Hi everyone! How are you all doing? we're pretty well here. :-D
What have all of you been keeping busy with? Let's see,I'm still in the process of learning spanish. I'm pretty slow at it though! I just can't seem to catch on very fast! I do however know a good deal more than I did when I started, so I guess at least that's a good point, right?
   I'm still working on my story "Set sail on the great Titanic". I'm having a grand time writing it. It's pretty interesting! :-D The other day, Mom and me were talking about what best describes us, and what makes us most content or happy. I said "I'm happiest alone in my bedroom with my pen and paper. " :-D It's True! i think My favorite pastime is writing! Letters and stories! I LOVE to write!
In June , Rose and I will be going to our Great Aunt Peggy's house for a visit! we're real excited about it! She lives in WI Rapids. we're supposed to come up with a list of things to do, so we're thinking! :-D we'll probably be getting back on the 24th of June. (The day before my birthday.)
   This year for My 18th birthday, I'm going to have a mystery supper!! I can't wait! Rose and I are having a jolly time thinking up things for it!
   Lately I've taken a lot of pictures... I keep meaning to post them, but then something comes up. (Like last week, I couldn't find the cord that I needed to upload the pictures to the computer with...) so, here's a few of them. I hope you all will have a great weekend!!!

Good Evening Everyone!!!

Sorry I have. not been a very Faithful blogger. Here like I Should Life has just been extremely crazy with working and trying to get all my finances in control so i can be stable enough to live on my own and move out west without any problems and such.Anyways as we speak I am working on my Laundry and enjoying the beautiful day here in Florida I hope you all Have a Wonderful and Safe Memorial Day!!!

I have been thinking about college lately...Should I go or not

?. Well I made up my mind. The answer is: Yes I will go

. I want to go and be a Doctor or nurse. I am trying to figure out which one of these I want to be: ob/gyn, labor/ delivery nurse ,or midwife. I am going to go Because I love to learn and help people. But when I marry I am going to settle down and have children. I think young people should get all their ambitions brushed off before they get married. Don't get me wrong I want to court and get married and have children. I have always wanted to be a mom ( I do want 8-10 children)

Hey Everyone!!! I am planning to start online school soon and Major in Criminal Justice Degree and then a little over a year from now I will be moving out west. Please pray that I get accepted into Portland State University to continue and further my education...

Pictures of the Tortoises

Ok, here are the pictures! Mindy still hasn't layed a third egg, so we're wondering if that might be it. She's still holding her tail in a funny way, and wagging it like a dog when she walks, so we're not sure what's up with that. Here's the first egg when we found it this morning.

We moved Mindy and Mork to another bin so they wouldn't disturb the egg. Tortoise eggs must be very still and cannot be turned. You can see the second egg in the hay at the bottom of this picture.

We (carefully) marked the top of the eggs with a pencil, and removed them. Then we put them in a temporary incubator that we rigged up. Since we didn't count on having eggs so soon, we didn't have an incubator yet.

The larger egg is the first one. The metal prong and cord you see is a thermometer so we can keep the eggs at the right temperature.

Our house is all a-buzz today with excitement. Our Russian Tortoise pair (Mork and Mindy) have eggs! I got up this morning and was doing math, when I went into the schoolroom to get a piece of scratch paper. I casually glanced into the tortoise pen and saw an off white ovel underneath the heat lamp. I realized it was an egg! I told my mom who relayed it to my dad and sister who was also doing math. They all came in and looked at the egg. Everybody started exclaiming, "Wow!", "I can't believe it!", "Man, that's so cool!" , "Look at that!" It was really neat. We've only had Mork and Mindy for 2 weeks and were not expecting eggs so soon. It was just a few minutes later that we discovered a second egg. Mindy is now trying to lay a third. I'll get pictures up soon!
