Nancy's Chicken Pockets

Posted in Menus and Recipes

This recipe is my Mom's.  Normally I don't use crescent rolls, but every once in awhile they are good!

4 oz cream cheese, softened                     2Tbsp milk

2 Tbsp. melted butter                                    1 can crescent rolls

2C cooked diced chicken                             3/4C crushed croutons

1/4 tsp salt                                                      1/2 stick melted butter

1/8 tsp pepper

1tsp chopped onion

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  In small bowl, blend cream cheese and 2 Tbsp melted butter until smooth with mixer.  Add chicken, salt, pepper, milk, and onions, mixing well.  Separate crescent roll dough into 4 rectangles.  Firmly press perforations to seal.  Spoon 1/2 cup of chicken mixture into center.  Pull 4 corners together; twist and seal edges.  Brush top, bottom, and sides of pockets with melted butter.  Sprinkle with crushed coutons on top.  Bake for 25 minutes.
