Spiced Apples

I love the smell of cooked apples in the Autumn and Winter. Sometimes I do not have the time to make an apple pie, so this is my alternative.
1/2c butter
8 large Granny smith apples (peeled, cored, sliced)
1 1/2c sugar
1 1/2tsp ground cinnamon
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
Melt butter in large skillet over med-high heat. Add the rest of the ingredients. Saute for 15-20 minutes until apples are tender.
I halve this recipe for my family of 4. Enjoy with pork, turkey, or chicken!
Blessings,
~Farrah

I too love the smell of apple pie cooking! I just made one on Sunday and it was a big hit with the family.
You have a very lovely blog!
