Laundry

Does it seem to you that laundry never ends? After spending 4 hours yesterday and 1 hour tonight I believe I am ALMOST caught up. I have a bad habit of washing things, but letting them sit in a basket instead of folding and putting away immediately. At least I have a wonderful washing machine instead of beating rocks like our forebearers. We are completely blessed for that. Out of curiosity, what type of laundry detergent do y'all use?

I tackled a huge basket of laundry today too. I used to be better about getting it done and put right away but now there are too many different areas where the laundry needs to go so I save a bunch up and deal with a lot at once.
I had been making my own laundry soap for almost a year. I ran out of the bars I use to make it just before we moved (on Jan. 1st) so I have used store bought soap for the last month and a half. Plus I do not have as much room to store the big bucket of soap like I did before so now I am trying to collect a few laundry soap jugs before I make it again. They are easier to store than the huge pail I usually keep it in.

I wash one load everyday. One day whites, and the next jeans and shirts, the next day whites, etc. This way I keep it going and it doesn't pile up on me too bad.
I make my own detergent and have for the last year. I learned how from Crystal on the blog. I can't tell you how much money I have saved this year.

On purpose, I do not have laundry baskets to put clean clothes into. The dry clothes go on my bed and so I have to fold them each day so that I can go to sleep that night - LOL! It's the only way I can be sure that I get it all put away!
thanks for visiting my blogs. I only made it halfway through that herbal cleanse, but I will be doing the other half this month. I felt good even though I only did it for half of the time. Then I'll be focusing on eating healthy, reducing my stress, drinking water and exercising regularly!

My favorite detergent is Tide with fabreeze, spring scent. I try to do 2 or more loads per day to keep the laundry from piling up, but I am almost always behind anyway. I used to do it only on saturday, and am considering doing this again and enlisting my 9yo daughters help. Of course, there will still be daily diapers and other laundry that can't wait.

before this baby I did a load a day Now I do 2 or more a day and still have laundry left. It took me along time to accept that I will always have laundry to do. I will never be caught up with laundry.
I use Tied or a costco brand. I've found that some brands don't work well with our water.
And I must take care of the load that is in the washer
