• Saturday, November 8, 2008 - Thanksgiving Table Topper

I made this table cloth today for our Thanksgiving feast. I am not sure yet if I am going to back it and quilt it or just leave it as a top. I got the snowballs from a swap on one of my quilt groups and the side panels are from fat quarters from different swaps as well. Really helps me to get a variety of fabric without having to buy the variety. The boys are afraid to eat on the table topper! I told them if they don't use my creations what is the point in making them!!

That is absolutely gorgeous...I'm with the boys, I would hate to spill something on that..but you are right, things are to be used by family...it certainly shows love.

Blessings,

Oh it's just LOVELY!

I would be concerned about eating on it as well, BUT, your right. It's meant to be used. I suppose if one wanted to make sure it was ok, you could always get a sheet of the seethrough liners for tables and add it over the top.

WTG on your lovely project!

Rebekah

( I am thinking about getting one of those see through covers just to make everyone feel more relaxed about it. Great idea)

Your table runner is gorgeous!! :)

You asked about my pumpkin cookies and if you could use regular sugar in them.. Yes you can sub white sugar for cane juice crystals and brown sugar for Sucanat in any of my recipes.

Blessings, Crystal :)

That is so pretty..I see so many fabric pieces that I have.. I'm with the boys I wouldn't want to spill on that. And if Ray was eating on that I would make him cover it with something..

Thanks for sharing..
