Tue-22-Apr-2008 - Do I Work?
We are in the middle of refinancing our home (we hope!) and Jonathan is also in the midst of changing jobs. Actually, he's put in his 2 weeks already! He will have 4 days off in between coming up, plus the weekend, so I'm awefully tickled about that . . . .
So anyways, there have been a bunch of phone calls coming in asking for info. I think it was about the refinance that the question was asked:
"Does your wife work?"
I was in the kitchen keeping dinner simmering when I heard Jay say: "My wife works very hard."
I rather wondered what had prompted that question! I guess the poor fellow on the other end of the phone thought for a moment, then said, "Let me rephrase that, does she work outside the home for money?"
LOL
I just thought it was very sweet of my husband to respond the way he did when he asked "if I work". It put an extra spring in my step all evening!
