Wed-10-Oct-2007 - Elijah Update
This will be short and sweet.
And the pics are a bit big, and overlap the right-hand column, but I don't know how to fix that. Pics or access to my right column; pics won. 
Elijah is eating like a champ. His feeding increases by 3cc's every three(?) feedings and he's up to 16cc's now. They would like for him to be eating over an ounce every meal when he leaves the NICU, and he's over halfway there!
It looks as if Elijah will be in the NICU until Tuesday because they want him to have a full 10 days of IV antibiotics.
Other than that, he has not had to be on a ventilator, he retains his body temp when we hold him, he's eating well, and just seems to be doing fine. He does have to spend a few days under lights for his jaundice but that's a fairly minor concern.
I am very ready to have my little boys under the same roof together, not 40 miles apart and unable to see each other! However, I do take comfort in the fact that Elijah won't be in the NICU any longer than God wants him to be. It really feels as if we have no control (and at times, no rights) over anything that happens, but God is in control.

These are such beautiful pictures, Ashley. Make it through the weekend and Tuesday is so close! We're excited for you and praying for you. Your change in outlook in this whole situation reminds me of where our trust needs to be- your attitude can be such an example to others!
