Tue-13-Jan-2009 - Brotherly love is . . .
. . . when your little brother lets you crawl into bed with him after you puke in your bed!

Yes, we have some kind of puking illness here. At first we tried to attribute it to Elijah having a "weak stomach". This morning, with the discovery of Samuel's incident, all such hopes were shattered. I'd been telling my honey the kids were sicker than they acted. Now there was stinky proof all over the place!

Blessedly, not everyone is sick at the same time. And it has all happened on easy-to-clean-areas, tile, bedding, etc. Elijah was sick Saturday night, Samuel is sick now. And, hopefully, I'm not ever sicker than I am now, period. Which, despite my complaining, isn't very sick at all!
I'm really glad I'm not dealing with a newborn AND this puking illness at the same time . . . I guess God really does know what He's doing. Imagine that! Oh me of little faith!

Besides all of this, I had an interesting event happen yesterday. We use(d) a giant blue exersize ball for a computer chair. It helps my joints stay happy while pregnant... and it's just fun. Well, it burst out from under me yesterday, dropping me first to my backside, then to my back like a giant turtle.
Samuel was tremendously concerned and on the verge of tears - "You okay, Mommy? You okay?" It's very sweet to have someone so concerned of my welfare! I guess Mommies aren't supposed to ever fall and it's scary when they do! Of course, it soon lapsed into "Mommy do this!" and multiple staged falls throughout the day and much laughter, but his initial reaction was sure sweet.
My shoulder is still sore from that.
So I'm a bit bruised, fighting a sinus infection, and waiting to go into labor. But, actually, it's all good. I think I'm finally on the winning side of my conjestion, and labor seems as far away as ever.

I can't believe all of the lovely comments I got on my last post! It had been a while since I'd let myself post anything along those lines and I honestly wasn't sure what the reaction would be. Each and every comment really blessed and encouraged me when I needed it most!
Thank ya'll so very much!!!

Well, I am glad that everyone is not sick. God does know the perfect timing of when that baby is gonna be born, and we don't. He knows what the future holds, so we'll just have to keep trusting in Him. :)
Hope the boys get better soon. Give them each a hug and kiss for me. And here's one for you, dearie - (HUGS). :)
And yes, the post about the cell phone and the Bible does give food for thought. Christians have gotten so distracted in the things of this world that we have lost sight of what is important. Satan knows what we really want to give our flesh, and he tries everything he can to lead us away from what God wants us to do. :)
Love,
Rachel

I bet you are ready to meet your little one! I am and I have 7 weeks to go! I have been trying the inversion technique, frozen food on the belly, sitting up and not reclining etc. I'll check out the website.
The soup was good. Lily ate hers up but she likes broc. Chris gagged his down because he hates broc. I know they would eat the granola bars they were good. I baked them then cut them up small and put them in the freezer. I am slowly trying to get some things in the freezer for after Aidan is born. So far it's just muffins, biscuits, and granola bars! Now I need to focus on dinners and bread dough....I don't have enough room in my freezer to bake a bunch of bread and freeze it. Take care! I cannot wait to read your in labor!!!!! Hugs, Jenny

Hey I went to the website! I'll have to try some of the moves. I have been doing the breech tilt not the inversion. So I'll give them a try! Thanks!
