Training Hearts #11 Praying For Needs
The assignment this week is to visit your classmates blogs and leave them a comment to let them know that you are praying for them. There are over 200 classmates that have signed up now!
At the same time for your blog, please post any prayer needs that you have. The POWER of prayer is what binds us together with HIM!
My Assignment:
There are a lot of things that I need pray for. Pray is the most powerful weapon against the enemy and for us. When Jesus struggled or healed, He prayed. He rebuked demons and healed sickness and talked with His Father. Pray is powerful.
My Prayer List
My Grt Grandma - you may have read about her on my mom's blog. She is in her 80's and has Alzheimer's, and is in a nursing home, where she is being mistreated and her granddaughter isn't doing too much about. She had her put in there in the first place. My dad is trying to find out if we can have her removed. Please pray for the Lord's hand to be upon my Grandma. She is saved, but she needs to get out of there.
Well, since this is my homestead blog, I will go ahead and ask for pray for my goats. It's winter here in Indiana and freezing. I need prayer that everything will be alright for them and that they will keep warm. We think that three of them are expecting in late March. Prayer for saved deliveries would be wonderful as well.
Please pray for Tristan. He is two years old and has leukemia. Please pray for healing in him and for his mom, LindaI, who is doing a wonderful job with her children, but she needs strength and encouragement.
For my friend mamasmurf. She's been dealing with cancer for over ten years. I am so sad for her, but she is a strong woman and the Lord is with her.
My Grt Grandparents - I wrote them a letter last year about Jesus and being saved. I don't know if they excepted him as their Saviour but they're old and not much time left. Please pray for their salvation. I will add in my mom's Grt Grandma as well. She is also old and needs the Lord.
Please pray for Auntie and baby Sus. Everything is still crazy with them and they really need the Lord's hand upon them. Pray for strength and protection.
Pray for Auntie Christina - that she will have strength as she will be bringing her children home for PS this Christmas break, and will be homeschooling all of them (PTL).
My friend Mellie needs a lot of prayer and strength too. Her family is going through a difficult time right, and I want to lift her up in prayer.
Please pray for Mrs. Haskins. She is having some health issues right now and could really use prayer and encouragement.
Now, I will ask for prayer myself....
That I would learn how to take correction with a humble heart, rather than getting prideful. I wouldn't have a pious spirit and that the Lord would use me in a great way. I also need prayer for a helpful spirit with my siblings. We have a few tyrants around here and I need to learn to just love them, even when they pull my hair as I am picking them up.
I can get my feelings hurt often and I usually end up crying behind closed doors and if I am really upset I cry openly. I cry at little things that really upset me because either they shouldn't be or they need prayer. I need the Lord's help to have discretion about things to really be upset at and to just let it go. There is a time for everything, the Bible says, I need to learn this.
My left shoulder - for several years it's ached, but just within the last few weeks has it really gotten bad. For a whole week I couldn't really hold Lucy without it hurting so bad I wanted to just. It's gotten better within the past few days, but still it needs healing.
For strength. I need prayer for strength in all things. Especially, in the area of friends. It's always been that with friends we've always gotten the short end of the stick, and we've had to just stick it out. The Lord has given us, this past year some wonderful friends, but I still need strength to be kind and press on with others when we do get that stick.
I guess I had a longer list than I realized, but they all really do need prayer.
And as I was typing this my 2yo brother fell down the stairs. Please pray for him also. He has a hard head but too many falls and it could be bad. He is alright now. The little sweetie - we asked him what he was doing and he said, "I walk. I walk".
Blessings!
Jocelyn
