The 20th Homesteading Carnival: Adventure Edition
Welcome to the 20th Homesteading Carnival...
This is going to be short carnival as I feel very short about things lately, and that includes sleep. I feel like just when I lay my head down to rest and fall asleep the alarm buzzes! Page at Desiring A Simple Life posted 36 ways to reduce stress, and I think that by following these tips, I'd feel a lot better in the morning when the alarm goes off!
Well, I am already up, so come with me on an adventure through blog-land. It might be fun, exciting or even weird... but it can't do any harm, just good, right? *yawns* Yep, ready to start my day...
I'd like to get up after a peaceful sleep and have something to eat... I like toast occasionally and Starfish Mama of Starfish Dreams posted a yummy Double-Berry Apple Jelly that might go nicely with my toast!
But what should I use if I smeared jelly on my clothes? Do I use Cloth Napkins or Paper Napkins? That is the question! I, however, can find the answer at In the 'Zarks.

I am not a coffee drinker either, but since Sher at Old Crow Farm has the coffee is on, I think I'll have a cup! "Coffee is on and the sun is shining. For how long I'm not certain (We're suppose to have rain today!) but for now everything looks gorgeous! "
Hey, why didn't anyone tell me there was tea? Ah, well, Kerimae of a Happy Home posted about her lovely experience at the Mother And Daughter Tea. "Today my 9yo daughter and I made the two hour drive to a lovely Mother and Daughter High Tea, and it was well worth the early start and foggy commute. It was so refreshing to be in the midst of women and their daughters who not only embraced femininity..."
After breakfast, I think I should like to take a walk... perhaps up the creek with Heidi of Footloose Farms and her family and view the majestic works of the Lord!
While I am walking up to the creek, Amanda of My Learning Experience has posted just a song I would love to sing as I am walking along... A Vagabond's Song. La-la-la-la-la!
As I reach the creek and have a rest, Kitty of Kitty's Korner posted a cute little poem, Bright October, that describes the beautiful fall I am seeing.
Ohhh, I am getting hungry after a long walk, and I think I will stop in at Starfish Dreams and have a bowl of Canadian Cheese Soup
And, after the hot soup, I'd like some warm Hazelnut Mocha Brownies from Grandma Rosie's. Or how about some little chocolate hedgehogs that the Ye Olde Scarecrow of Andover posted about?? They're so adorable... good enough to eat! lol
The day is wearing on and another walk outside would be nice. I really should get to my chores, though... but instead, I went over to Sprittiebee's and saw that she found a green moth... I had to stay a little while.

Ok, enough walking, it's almost time for dinner, I need to get to work. I'm gonna stop over at Pure Water Hollow to help with the Summer 2007 Harvest, which looks wonderful and plentiful! "Now that we have hit some of the gloomy days of October, I thought I would share some of the sunny pictures we took of the August, 2007 harvest at Pure Water Hollow."
Christina of Recipe for Survival! has just started posting recipes... for survival, and she posted a rating (SEVEN HEARTS! EVERYONE in her family loves this one!) Chicken Bruschetta, which I think I would like for dinner!!
And, now, my day is done. Time for bed! as I do need to get to bed early this way I won't feel so tired in the morning... as Page listed in #2 go to bed on time.
Before I hit the sack, I should really say prayers...prayers for Ashley and Baby Elijah. They need all the prayers they can get. Little Elijah is still on the IV and still in the NICU. Please pray for their entire family. And while I am praying, I am going to praise the LORD for the Answers to Auntie's Prayers about her pregnancy and Baby Sus over at Mom's Homeschool blog.
Hope you enjoyed your adventure with me. Check out all the links, and if you'd like us to select a entry from your blog for the next carnival (or send one yourself), email the carnival staff!
Blessings!
Jocelyn
