if your life is boring just come read about mine.

Posted in Jesus And Me

Well hello there agian. Here I am with another adventure from the homestead.

Today we ventured to a new church. And that at least proved to be interesting. I have to say I liked the old church better, but commuting in the weather we have here in Oregon can at times be very hazardess to the health. So this church that we have chosen is non-denominational and a little wierd. And I am not dissing them but it just different. The pastor is realy nice, he is an older gentleman who tends to ramble a little in his sermen but the things that he rambles about at least stays at the same base and he doesnt go way out into left field like some. The church is realy rather..... quaint, I guess that is the best way to put it. It was established in 1895 and very classic looking like you would expect your parents to be married in. It has a spire but I dont think it holds a bell. The inside is beautiful in the strangest sence, the walls are in wood paneling that goes onto the ceiling, and there is wonderful white wainscoting going about three and a half feet up the wall. There is crown molding around all the windows and doors. The flooring is wood that comes into a "Y" shape and there is carpeting in a "V" shape surrounding the wood floors. And where the pulpet is it looks like a stage in a good way, the front is pocketted and framed in the most eligent molding and there are stain glass windows on the wall in the back...of the front...in the pocket...where the pulpet is...any ways its cool looking. The pews were (I believe costom made for the church) very charming. They believe in keeping tradition and they have a sunday every month where they have a potluck, and little things like that.

Mom and Dad cirtianly liked the place so we will be going agian next sunday. Dont get me wrong, I like the place too but I miss my old church where every body talks to every body and hearing the noises of the children that I thought were such brats at the time and singing all the songs I am now used too. But life is an adventure and I am going to enjoy it for now.

Well I guess that is all for now and I will post agian soon. Bye.
