Homeschool Convention!

Today my husband and I went to the Indiana Homeschool Convention.  I have not been in  a couple years, so it was nice to go and check out all the wonderful materials.  I have to say that it was not as packed as it has been in the past.  I'm sure the economy is playing a huge role in that.  I was able to find some good curriculm books that were on my list in addition to some items that weren't on my list!  I feel like a kid in a candy store when I have all that material available at once.  Oh well, we had a nice time and now we have to go and soak our feet from all the walking we did.

I went on Friday and it was packed. Elbow to elbow!
I was there from about 8:30 am to 12:00 pm.

I think I saved a wee bit of money........
After the 45.00 to get in, and the 2.00 to park, I managed to save about 25.00 on my Abeka (bought a lot second hand) saved on shipping (about 50.00) saved on VideoText (10.00) saved on my Apologia (25.00).
My "impulse purchases" from Vision Forum and the Book Peddler ($35.00) were minimal this year!
I walked in with a list and that was a huge huge help.

It's worth the trip for me because I like to have everything for next year in the house by June 1rst. We start school Aug 1, but I like to know I have all my ducks in a row!!
