The love of God exists in it's strongest and purest form in the very midst of suffering and tragedy.

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong.
1 Peter 5:10

Havea blessed day.

Good Afternoon

I woke up to my 2 1/2 year old waking up my 1 1/2 year old.  Why can't toddlers sllep past 7:15, especially when they were up in the night?  My youngest likes to sleep but Trinity Grace doesn't seem to want to or let her sleep.

It is rainy here today.  It reminds me of a washing.  As God washed me clean with Jesus' blood.  I like the rain.  I feel bad for my husband though he has to work in it.

Praise
Thank you Lord for being there even when I have doubt.  Thank you for my blessings even when I am so caught up in myself to see them.  You are an awesome God and I worship your name.

My husband gave my soon to be 19 year old until spring to find a place to live but if he messes up once he is gone.  I prepared myself for his leaving on November 1 and it didn't happen.  I am happy because he is my son and I love him but how do I know he will change?  How do I know he will be different?  How do I know he will not cause division, chaos and strife in our household?  I just have to trust God.

Prayer
Lord, please soften Derrick's heart.  Please help him to seek you.  I pray for him Lord and his salvation.  Please protect my husband while he is working today.  Please help him Lord to stay on your path that you called him to.  I pray for Al and Jen.  Please help Al to nake the right housing choice for their family.  Please bless Rona and Mary Ann and their family.  Lord please forgive me for my sins even the ones I don't know that I do.  Please lOrd help me to raise my babies to be God fearing and help me to discipline them with love and patience as you do your children.  In Jesus' holy name.

I was reading on the Home Simplicity Blog today and I read a post that said something to the effect of look back over the week and ponder.  Ponder how God was with you etc.  I don't do that.  I don't look back at the week and recall things.  I just go day by day.  I have been missing so much.  How do I rectify this?  How do I start to try to better myself in this?  How do you do this?  Any suggestions for me?

Have a very blessed day.

A Scripture For You

The Lord also will be a refuge for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble.

I can't think of a title so that is it.  Hmmm.....

I talked to my dad today.  I miss him very much.  I wish they lived closer.  They live in KY.  I would like to go and visit.  I hear it is so pretty there and from the pic's I have seen I would like it.

My dad has bladder cancer and the doc gave him 1-5 so he wanted to live the last days out there because he loves it so much.  His sister and brother-n-law are there for the week so they are having Thanksgiving together :)  Happy Thanksgiving to you all.  God bless you.

1 Corinthians 13:4
Love is patient, love is kind.  It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
Irritation and anger at others comes from a desire for things to run perfect.  Perfection exists only in God.

13:5
It is not rude, it is not self seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrong.
Talk about it with the person you feel wronged you and let it go.  Give it to God.  Forgive the person.  Ask God to help you forgive.

13:6
Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

13:7
It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
Our love should be like how God loves us.  Directed outward towards people not inward to ourselves.  We can do this if God helps us set aside our own desires and needs.  The more we are like Jesus the more we can show others love.

Have a very blessed day.

I awoke to my two toddlers giggling and playing.  It is a crisp fall morning here.  It is sunny and 35.  Make that chilly fall morning   It is supposed to be 60 today.

Praise
Thank you Lord for my husband's work and that we are able to pay some bills.

Scripture for Today
Galations 5:22-26
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.  Against such things there is no law.  Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires.  Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.  Let us not become conceited, provoking and envying each other.

The Holy Spirit gives us the character traits that Chirst has.  We can't get them without His help.  If we want the fruit of the Spirit to grow in us we must know, love, remember, and imitate Christ.  Paul says that because we are saved, we must live like it.  The Holy Spirit is the source, so keep in step with his leading.  Those who look to god for approval won't need to envy others.  Seek to please God and the approval of others won't seem important.

Thought for Today
My son is going to look at an apartment today.  I pray that he gets it.
He needs to leave our house and right now he has no place to go.
Please Lord, keep him safe.  Let him seek your face.  We have planted the seed, please have someone water it.  Please help to meet someone that can show him his ways are against you Lord.  Please soften his Lord and open His eyes.  In Jesus' mighty name.
Amen.

So Tragic

It is a gift of God to us to be able to share
our love with one another.

I just wanted to say that my prayers go out to the
families and victims of the tragic shooting that
happened in PA.  May our Lord touch them and heal him as
only he can.  God bless!!

My Time with the Lord

08:02, Thursday, September 28, 2006 .. Posted in Daily Notes .. 1 comments .. Link
Good morning.  Boy do I feel charged this morning.  The ladies over at Making It Home were talking about having their quiet time with the Lord first thing and we were getting up to do that.  Thank you ladies :)

I have read Proverbs 2 this morning.  We have been having struggles with our 18 year old son for over a year now.  I have been asking God for wisdom.  How can he give me wisdom if I haven't been growing in the Lord and reading his word constantly?

2:3-6
and if you cry out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, and if you look for it as silver and seach for it as hidden treasure, then you will understand the fear of the Lord and the knowledge of God.   For the Lord gives wisome and from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.

Wisdom's starting point is God and his word.

Also his morning I read Colossians

3:20 Children obey your parents in everything because this pleases the Lord.

My son is rude, disrespectful, selfish, immature, into he deviance of this world, fresh, irresponsible etc.  He doesn't wan to go to school, work, he is dropping out (against our wishes).  He makes snide remarks against my faith.  He just wants to lay around like the world owes him something.  When he messes up it is everyone else's fault except his.
We have given him the gospel, trained him in the way he should go, everything I can think of.  It is up to God.  I have to lay him at Jesus's feet and let God.

Last night after not coming home the night before, I asked him wherer he was and he said Do you care?  I need him to leave my household.  My husband has been saying this but I have not been submissive (forgive me God).  It is time and he is saying he is looking at an apartment.  He has by October 20 (talking to hubby first of course :)
I have peace about it this morning.  Thank you Jesus.

May God bless your day!!

Serving Continued

We're never more like Jesus than when we're serving with no need for recognition, no reputation seeking, just wanting to do it for His sake and others.

The heart of the servant is not just doing what is required but going above and beyond.

God's way is it is a privilege to serve, an honor to serve, there is joy in serving.

Our life is our ministry to others.  If it is not filled by God the Holy Spirit can't come through us and bless others.

I finally got curtains for my living room.  Hubby and I got
some unexpected money so off to The Christmas Tree Shop I went.
They have some beautiful curtains.  I had  a hard time choosing between two pairs.  One was country theme and the other was vintage/romantic.
The vintage/romantic were like crinkly sheers.   They were beautiful.  Our house has a more country style so I went with the country.  They are button topped.  The top is plaid with green, yellow and white.  and the bottoms are green.  A very pretty lightish green.  I am happy with the choice.  Now we will see how they look when they are hung up.  I will take a pic and try and post it so I can show everyone.  Never did that before but I will try.

I was going to make my own but I chickened out....I need to practice more on my sewing.  As I said in an earlier post I only made two things so far.

Today was a lazy day.  Ariel Faith had me up three times in the middle of the night.  She is teething and uncomfortable.  She is getting her molars in but they are coming in all at once and the poor girl hasn't had a break.  So today I took a nap.  We missed church   But Ariel is doing much better today.

My two girls are playing and giggling as I type.  I love that sound.

I wanted to mention that I have been to the Godfrey website.  What a beautiful testimony there site is.  What strength they have.  God shows through them.  My prayers are with them.

I hope that your day is blessed.

I awoke to a little one calling my name.  Ohhhh...I don't want to wake up.
I wanted to stay in slumber land.

It has been beautiful weather.  I love Fall, it is one of my favorite seasons.
Just right during the day and cooler at night.  Good sleeping weather.
I love how the trees have been kissed with color.

Plans for today include trying to get new curtain material for the livingroom.
I am going to try and sew my own.  I have only made two things since
I learned to sew.  A pillow and a stuffed kitty toy for my youngest.
Hmmm...wonder how these will turn out.

Praise for today
Thank you Lord for my wonderful husband.  A home, food, family and being able to enjoy them.  Thank you for life.

Quote for today
John 10:10
The theif comes only to steal, kill and destroy; I have come so that they may have life, and have it to the full.

Hello everyone!!

Well we are moved!  Yay!!!!!!  I never want to move again.  I remember when I used to love moving.  New scenery, redecorate etc. etc.  This time I hated it...I think it is because I am older.  But it is done and I am all set up.  I just have to hang our things on oue walls and I will be done.

Hubby's knee is healing well.  He went back to work for the first time Monday which I was nervous about, but he did fine.  It had only been two and a half weeks post surgery.  He goes back to the Dr. on September 15th.

The kids are adjusting well to the move.  My 1 1/2 yr old had a rough couple of nights but it is good now.

I wish you all a blessed day!!

I am sorry I haven't been here in a while....

I awoke to the sounds of my little ones saying, "morning mama".  They are so cute.

I think I will do this entry a little different than I have been doing because I have so much to share.

My friend Jen asked us to check out her church a year ago.  We finally did!  It is a church that the bible describes.  We are so blessed.  It is a home church and we love it!!  It has been so hard for us to find a bible teaching solid church that is family oriented and has true fellowship.  It is like a big family.  We have been going there a month now.  They have been doing so much for the Lord.

Next on the list is we are moving!  Whoo hoo!  Thank you Jesus.  I have been looking and calling, looking and calling and God finally gave us the house that is right for our family.  It is a townhouse.  It is very quiet and nice with a nice big deck for the kids to play on and a gate so they can't go anywhere.  A 1/2 bath off of the kitchen and sliding doors leading to the deck.  A finished basement with a carpeted room with track lighting.  We were going to use this a play room for the kids but my 18 year old is using it until he moves.  It has a laundry room right off my son's room.  Nice two big bedrooms upstairs with a full bath.  Plenty of storage and closet space.  The best part is, our rent will never go up!!  The landlord told us this and he also said that when he turns them into condos he will use our rent and we can buy it!!  Whoo hoo.  This help my husband get his foot in the door for real estate which he wants to get into!!  Praise God!!  He is so good, he has blessed us big time!

My husband is going for knee surgery on the 24th and we will be all moved on the 26th.  I am going to start making trips and bringing the little things over this Wednesday.  I have been a basket case sorting and packing and throwing stuff away.  I never knew we had so much stuff.  I am a packrat.
I am praying God will help me with this.  I am praying that when we are moved he will help me to be discipline and scheduled and organized.

I have a schedule but find myself straying from it so much.  It is so hard with two babies but I need it because I have two babies.

I gotta go put them in for a nap.

Have a blessed day in all that you do

Hmmm...I haven't been here in a while.
My husband hurt his knee and he has been out of work so I have
been taking care of him
He is back to work at the moment but he is going to have preop
the 18th of this month and surgery on the 24th of this month.
He will be out of work for 4-6 weeks.
Yikes, so could you please keep us in your prayers.  His job is the
sole income.  Thank you it is very much appreciated.

Quote of the day
Heaven is not here, it's there.  If we were given all we wanted here,
our hearts would settle for this world rather than the next.  God is forever luring us up and away from this one, wooing us to Himself
and His still invisible Kingdom, where we will certainly
find what we so keenly long for. ~Elisabeth Elliot

I awake to Trinity Grace singing, good morning mama.  Ariel Faith is playing in her crib.

Plans for Today
Vacumm and dust the living room.

Praise
Thank  you for this day.  Thank you for renewing my heart.  Thank you for putting my crankiness in check.

Scripture of the Day
Likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live,
not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good.
Then they can train the younger women to love their husbands and children,
to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home,
to be kind and to be subject to their husbands,
so that no one will malign the word of God.
Titus 2:3-5

Hmmm...seem to have some kind of writer's block today.

Good Evening

Boy am I late today.  I did get my laundry done for the weekend and did some much needed housework.  I tried to take a power nap but they were cutting down trees across the way at the neighbors.  Boy what a racket that makes.  That is ok.  I guess it was God's way of helping to get everything done I needed to do

I awoke to Ariel Faith singing her own name It is the first time she has done that. She will be a year and half the 17th.  I thought it was Trinity Grace.  They sound so alike.

Praise and Prayer
Thank you God for the work Mike got today.  I lift him up Lord if it is your will to have his knee better so he can get back to his regular job.  You know our circumstances Lord and you know there is no money if he doesn't work.  Lord please show him what your will is Lord.  Please watch over him today and keep him safe as he is driving and if he has to attempt going up a ladder.  Amen.

Quote of the Day
It is time for women of biblical faith to reclaim our territory.  We know the Designer.  We have His instruction manual.  If we don't display the Divine design of His female creation, no one will.  But if we do, it will be a profound testimony to a watching, needy world.
