Homestead Journal at Fat Turkey Farm

Divine Intervention

I believe that the hand of the Lord was resting on my sholder last night.

Last evening, I was folding laundry on the couch.  When that was done, I put my leg up on the couch to relax for a few moments.  At first I thought I put my leg onto  some kind of sticker plant, namely a goathead, and was getting poked pretty badly, cus those things hurt!  Nope, it wasn't a goathead, or other pokey plant that was giving me issues.

Evidently the wasp that came in with the clean clothes didn't like the fact that I wanted to relax, so he stung me twice.

This is not a good thing for me, since I am allergice to bee stings.  I had Jes run and get me my epi-pen shot and the benadryl, called the hubby at work, and sat and waited for the reaction which was starting.

I believe that Jesus was looking out for me, as I didn't have a very sevear reaction, which is good since the epi-pen I have is no good any more.  I took a look at it and it had turned yellow, and is 10 years outdated.  All it would have done was to give me a sharp poke in the leg.  The benadryl helped keep the mucus down which was forming, and I only had some minor swelling of the face and leg where I was stung.

Praise God I am here to tell you about this today.

The Lord certainly was looking out for you Spinner Gal! I am so glad to read that your reaction wasn't as bad as it could been! Hope you've replaced your epi-pen. Dawn at http://irishsenji.blogspot.com/ Have to sign the posting this way so you'll know who it is chatting with you. :-)
