Thank You!  I am honored at being chosen blogger of the week out of all the great blogs here at homesteadblogger.  Thank you so very much!

I woke today to find a half inch of snow on the ground so far.  We had snow off and on all day yesterday, but the bulk of the storm still hasn't hit us yet.  That will be today and they are still saying up to 10" of the white fluffy stuff.  It is snowing as I type.  I'm glad Mike doesn't have to drive into work today, I'm sure almost everyone has forgotten how to drive in snow and there will be crashes everywhere.  It will be a good day to just stay home. 

The poor chicken girls have decided they don't like this white stuff.  They spent yesterday huddle in the coop out of the blowing howling wind and snow.  And it was windy!  Luckily the coop door didn't blow off.  We have had that happen before!  Its not much fun wrestling the door back in place, screwing it into the frame wood, and making sure it hangs right in 40 mph wind by yourself.

Think I'll get chores done before the big snow arrives!  Bye Bye!

Stay in! I've lived in places where the occasional snow causes chaos and it's much safer to be home and out of it. Hope you have a great weekend!

i went & brought some NZ pure wool today & when DH goes back to work I will begin his socks.
