Babies?

Miss Jar Jar Goats was acting kind of funny yesterday morning.  Walking around, wagging her tail, calling to everyone.  So I called my friend Lara who has the buck and told her what Jar Jar was doing, and she said to bring her up.  We both think she is going into heat!!!

So, off I go with Jar Jar in the back of the mini van.  Up at Lara's place they showed me how to give her a pedicure, which she needed badly.  And she met her new beau!  Oh is he a pretty buck.  All reddish brown with white patches on him.  Just about the same size as Miss Jar Jar.  I think they will make pretty babies.  He was very serious about his business, I must say, and got right to work without even a howdy-do!  I hope that I didn't mistake the signs of her going into heat and that this is all for naught.  If she is in heat, we should see a baby/babies in about mid October.

I got to see all of Lara's other goats and they are a bunch of cuties!  She has one doe that looks like she is about to explode she is so pregnant.  I swear that doe is carrying about 10 babies in her she was so big.  Lara has a baby in her house thats just a bit over a week old, and is the most darling little thing you have ever seen.  Lara keeps her in the house and has her wearing diapers to contain the mess.  Needless to say she is a bottle baby.

We are still cleaning up the storm mess out there.  The chain saw chain wasn't sharp enough to buck up that downed tree so it still sits mushing my wheelbarrow.  We get the chain back from the sharpening place today, so we can get that deal started.  Other than the tree and a few blown over chairs everything else was fine.  The kids have been picking up the branches that did break and were laying on the ground.  They got quite a pile started.  This is all good since we can use the firewood!

Gotta Run!  Bye Bye!

If she accepted her beau, then she probably WAS in heat!!! Most animals will NOT have anything to do with the male if they are not ready and receptive. Good luck with the 'take' ...

And you didn't that cute baby from the kitchen?? My, My, I'm surprised!
