Wind Storm

Wow, did we have a wind storm here yesterday! It blew from about 7am until dark. I would guess we had sustained winds at about 20 mph with gusts up to about 50 mph. Stuff was flying everywhere! I wouldn't be suprised to find my house moved!!!

The chickens and goatie sure wern't happy with it either. Jar Jar Goats hid in an old dog house all day and didn't want to come out to eat.

We got a little bit of rain with it also, just enough to make things surface wet, not the soaking rain we so desperately need.

We did sustain some damage during the storm. Take a look at this!

This old dead tree just couldn't take the wind anymore. And looking at the base if it, I dont know how it stood at all! It was all rotten and dry and felt like paper, and was full of ants. My poor wheelbarrow is being mushed! I'm glad it fell over to the left, since my rabbit hutch is just on the right side of the tree and it would have landed right on top of Miss Rabbie. It did hit the good tree next to it, and I think it snapped a few good branches off of that, but I won't know for sure until we can cut it up and haul it out of there.
