Wow, its May already?

Hard to believe isn't it?  Wasn't it just January?  This year is just flying by for me.

We were quite busy on the homestead yesterday.  I got all the trees in the front of the house and yard watered, along with all the flowers.  Laundry day also, did four loads of that and got them hung and dry before the rain started.  Ran the carpet cleaner over a few difficult spots on the carpet that I have been working on since we moved in.  They are fading, but not gone yet.  I also started an experiment with some eggs that I will detail on tomorrow's post, with pics, for you to see incase you want to try it also, so stay tuned for that!

Mike finished putting up the remaining nest boxes in the coop for the girlies, so now they won't be fighting over boxes.  Right, who am I kidding?  They will always fight over boxes!  Jes raked up a bunch of rocks in the coop yard and Mike hauled them out. 

We had to preform a duck U.S.A.R (Urban Search And Rescue) mission since one of our ducks got himself under the scrap wood pile, and was having difficulty getting himself out.  It seems that this duck makes a habit of going under there for some reason.  Not to smart if you ask me with all the scorpions and snakes we have around here. 

Speaking of scorpions, we found another one by the front door last night under a log.  This makes number 5 now.

I got some knitting done on the Gatsby sweater.  Almost done with the decrease's, and will be starting on the increases in about 5 rows.  Although, the instructions don't make sense, they have more decreases being made than I have rows to make them in.  I may have to fudge a decrease row.  I'm going to check for erratum when I'm done here.

Time to make the donuts!  Bye Bye!
