Well here I am posting on my homestead blogger. That's something I havn't done in a long time! Well if your wondering whats going on the farm I'll tell you everything. Last month we had to sell one of our horses because it was acting way too wild. She was about three years old when we bought her, and we were told that she had been trained. Well we had just started letting the kids ride her in July. Well last month around the 15th, I was out in the yard watching Laura (my nine year old) ride the horse. She was doing fine and then she started going really fast and almost ran into a tree. This scared Laura so she jumped off and ended up hurting her arm. Laura is doing fine now, and the horse is in good hands. We sold her to a trainer. So now we only have one horse, good old Dexter. Well I'd better get to bed. I need to get up early so I can get some farm chores done before the kids wake up. ~*May God Bless You All*~ Jenny Piglets!!!

Phew! Its been a long, hard day!Boy do I wish I had never taken that job offer. Ok I know your thinking what in the world am I saying right?Well I'll tell you all about it.Yesterday around 2 my brother called me.So we talked for awhile and then something came up about his tractor. He said it hadn't been running good so he would have to get it worked on.Well then he said he would be going out of town to take it to a shop today and would gone all day.''There is lots of chores to do on my farm that I wont be able to do in the morning'', he said.''Can you take care of them?''So I thought why not?He only lives like 17 or 18 miles away. Now I know why not!Lol!I love my brother but when it comes to his farm now thats a different story. When I got to his farm I found that he has like 20 cows and almost half of them had to be milked.I had to feed and water the horses, cows, chickens, goats, pigs, and the dogs! And on top of that when I got home I had to do some more farm chores. But to my surprise my hubby told me that one of our pigs is expecting and is due any day now.The reason I didn't know is because my hubby had been care of the pigs by him self for the last few months.Ok so I have to admit today wasn't as bad as it sounds but still pretty tough .But the best part was when I found out there will be piglets running around our farm!~*May God Bless You All*~ Jenny |
