Well we have been having a crazy winter.  This was forcasted to be the coldest winter in 15 years.  Nope not here anyway.  While we have had some cold spells our January thaw was much warmer then normal.  We were up around 16C for days!  All of our snow melted a way and we had so much rain that all of the rivers are over there banks and the fields look like little lakes. 

We had a good storm come in this week to.  Monday was so calm and foggy you couldn't see anything out side.  Then suddenly in the afternoon a storm rushed in we had lots of thunder, heavy rain and hail.  Would have thought it a August storm!

Scared the poor kids half to death, they were trying to have there naps when it came in.

Dh grabbed a handful of hail after the storm stopped.  It was twice this size when falling but with it being so warm it melted fast.

I think we had that same storm on Monday or Tuesday here in the States! I wanted to get back with you and let you know that I made some of your laundry detergent and we love it!!! It works quite nicely and all the clothes smell so fresh. Yesterday I got a recipe for Fabric Softener that I made and used with the detergent last night....every one of our clothes smell divine right now! I thought I'd share this recipe with you so you might like to try it:

Fabric Softener

2 cups baking soda
2 cups white vinegar
4 cups water

I added some lavendar oil to our mix too. Also make sure you shake this before adding to the rinse cycle of your wash. The baking soda goes straight to the bottom of the cup. Measure about 1/2 cup per load for top washer, which I know you don't have but I don't know the measure for a fortunate front loading machine! Only in my dreams would I ever be able to have one of those fancy machines.

I'm so glad you liked the laundry soap! I normally use straight vinegar for a softener but I'll try your recipe next time! :-)
And no I'm not tall I was on a step stool LOL, I'm only about 5' 4". :-)
