It's been one of thoughs weeks around here lol. 

It started off with our truck dying yet again.  This is the Dakota 4x4 dh bought in the fall, it's either going to be a real lemon or a great brand new truck when we finish replacing EVERYTHING on it.   In the mean time we just don't have the money to fix it so dh pulled the insurance off it and put it back on our old truck.  It's a little Ford Ranger.  It  needs a lot of work to but at least it starts.    Ofcouse this was after dh had filled the back of the Dakota with manurer to take to our friends farm.  Now it has to be shoveled out and into the Ranger before it freezes.

Then the next day we found out our problems with Revenue are not over.  A while ago I posted a prayer request.  That a payroll company had submitted tax returns that belonged to someone with dh social insurance number.  This had caused all of our monthly tax returns and baby bonuses to be cut off and we started getting bills in the mail.  Well apparently the week before Christmas this had been straitened out and a check was being sent out ASAP but we wouldn't likely get it before Christmas.  Well we STILL hadn't received it dh called our accountant on Tuesday to let her know.  She got a hold of Revenue again and found out that the forms the payroll company sent in to "FIX" there problem they forgot to put dh CORRECT social insurance number on it so the check was NEVER sent and they NEVER contacted us to say there was a mistake on the form.  So she got a hold of the company and told them to resend it again but to make sure the right numbers were on there.    We were told that Revenue had sent out another BILL a few days ago and we should just ignore.  Yup real easy when you have other bills to pay.  (sigh)....So We'll be really lucky if this all gets straightened out by Feb.  It will probably be into March before the Provincial government catches up in paperwork.  They refuse to do anything to help us until they get the paper work from the FED government. 

Yesterday we went to HomeDeopt to pick up the renovation materials we need to finish the kitchen.  We didn't have enough tile to finish the counter top ect.  Thankfully we were using there no pay for 6 months.  But we found out they have NO vinyl flooring!  Doesn't that sound odd!  They had just a few raiment rolls left.  The man we asked for help knew nothing at all and said he would get a flooring associate to help us.  Well a woman finally shows up, dh starts to talk to her when she saids that the other woman there was waiting first.  First of all how would she know when she wasn't there, secondly that woman got there LONG after we did.  But ok no big deal.  Then dh asked her about the vinyl and she said there were renovating and didn't have any samples out to order from.  All they had in stock was the small 6 x 8 rolls of mix prints.  So we said that was fine we would go some were else.  Then she tried to sell us this laminate stuff that was "waterproof"  well we already knew that was not what we wanted and a friend that is a professional floor install said was crap LOL!  And its 3 times the price of what we want!  We nicely told her we didn't want that.  And she very rudely in tone asked us why in the world we wanted vinyl!!   

I just simply said because that's what we want and we walked a way.  Picked out the rest of our stuff, despite the boxes and junk all over the iles that we had to maneuver around.  We almost thought we were walking around Zellers instead of Home Depot!  We have never had such bad service there before.  Anyway dh was talker to the customer service desk to arrange delivery for the larger building materials.  He asked about the flooring why they didn't have any.  He got on the phone to see what was up.  Turns out they are switching flooring suppliers so the display wont be up unti next week, they are running two weeks behind.  Dh talked to him about the other woman and Mr. Customer serves was quite upset and said he'd look into it.  He gave us 1/2 price on our delivery fee and his personal card.  He wants us to call him and he'll make sure the flooring is ready before we take the long drive back and will give us another deal on the delivery.  Since they didn't have what we needed in stock.    He was so nice it really helped to make up for the rest.  Because until then we were never going to use that store again. 

Then this morning we discovered dh keys are missing.  He was playing we the kids outside yesterday and thinks they fell out of his pocket.  We searched for 2 hours the house and yard and it snowed last nigh to.  We don't have a second set for the van and ranger so need to find a locksmith to make some new ones.

I've looked everywhere for my cell phone too. We have so much snow around - it's been snowing about everyday all week. We didn't even miss the phone until Tuesday night! Oh well. I'm glad the customer service man was nice and smoothed things over. I hope that the lady was just having a bad day.

I hope so to, but I don't think she was. She wasn't acting like a person having a hard day. Just a rude person! :-(

Oh my, what a disaster! I am glad that the service manager tried to make it right at least. Won't you be glad when the renovation is over?? By the way, if you go over to my blog, I posted pictures of the house near Markdale that I told you about. They are the second set of pictures, not the old falling down one! Though the one in Markdale seems to be on it way....
