While I have nothing personally against China, I feel its more of a corporation problem.  Many people are looking for lists of toys that are NOT made in China.  The link below list many products and stores that might be helpful.

Although I don't think it is only toys made out of the country, I agree with you somewhat.

With all the toy company recalls lately, it makes you wonder what IS safe to give our children this year for Christmas!!! DH made a comment the other day that the only safe present anymore is a blanket and a pillow!!!

My Joe would love this post! He has our children all checking labels on where things are made... it has done it since our fourth son was born and that was ten years ago!!! I'll never forget the look on their faces when they brought me the JCPenny Christmas catalog and told me, "Mommy I can't find anything to ask Grandma for... it all says it comes from China." "What's wrong with China?" I asked. "Oh don't you know Mommy? "It's taking jobs away from hard working Americans!" I could tell they had been talking to their daddy... not many three year olds are thinking about the American economy! LOL In all honesty... we LOVE buying from those locally. We find that the products last longer and are of higher quality. It has been nice not having to worry about all the recalls because we simply don't shop like most people do!

Hi Kim! I just posted on Christian Homemaking and saw your intro, I was so surprised, I thought, "Woohoo,I know her!!" I have some soothing skin balm made up and am sending you a box of stuff. I am not sure when I will get back up to the cottage, I would like to before Christmas! I am still having email woes, but can access webmail at least, I am just not good at typing on the notebook!
