Well we are getting some snow! It started last night, its not sticking on the ground yet though. We are to get squalls tonight. At the same time we are having problems with the well. Same problem we had last fall...Dh is out trying to fix it. I feel so bad it so cold to have to be down in a well! The well is probably as old as the house 150 + years. Its GREAT water, spring fed. The last owners built a porch on the front of the house the year before we bought it. When it rains the water runs off near the well area. It makes cracks in the old casing letting ground water and mud get in. He's going to put in a tile ditch to help the drainage soon to. Also cementing up the cracks. So needless to say we are on bottled water until is fixed. |
