Well we have finally found out what's wrong with the van. It's a computer chip...So this is going to be a very expensive fix. A new part is over 300.00 plus taxes etc. then the labor to install it. And we've already put a fair bit of money into trying to fix this problem already. Our mechanic is looking for a used chip, but it would still be expensive and we aren't sure we want to try a used one. It could fry out any time to...
We talked about other options ranging from buying another used van to buying a new van. They all have positives and negatives. We think at this point we will just fix this one for now. Since we've replaced almost everything else on it already! And just hope nothing else brakes, I'm hoping we can have it back before next weekend.
We had another good snow storm last night. This was a surprise storm as they didn't have any warnings up. But boy was the wind loud!! It sounded like a train going by our house for hours. |
