Well to day has been like a summer day! It was 20 C and sunny. So we took advantage of the break in the cold, rainy weather to get out side. I unloaded a lot of rocks from the van. Enough to fill a wheel barrow! A friend didn’t need them in her flower garden any more so they will become part of my waterfall/pond area next year. Then I planted some tulip and crocus bulbs. Four lilies and my two lavender plants I had in pots. They’ll do better over wintering in the garden then they will in the house. Dh fixed the wiring for the lights on his truck and started hooking up auto mated watering for the new rabbit cage unit. Oh and I got the van cleaned out to. We had been to busy lately and it was starting to pile up with toys, papers etc. Lets see what happened this weekend… Saturday dh took a load of rabbits to market. A friend came over to visit Sat. and we all went up to Home Depot to pick out what we need for our wood stove. We picked out the stove we liked, and chimney etc. Picked out the tile we wanted for the base and walls. It’s a two tone brown with a texture that looks like stone. Also the dry wall we need for the living room, master bedroom and sun porch. And a latter so dh can reach our very steep roof! We brought home what we could and the rest will be delivered on Thursday. Sunday my friend and I were up early to go to an animal buy/sell/trade. It happens only twice a year and it’s HUGE. I didn’t get anything but had fun looking around. I did see a few kittens I really liked. One was a Siamese and I HAVE been looking for one. But they were selling a male and I wanted a female, besides they wanted more then I wanted to pay. So I was safe. The other was a little dilute calico kitten oh she was sooo cute. Maybe next year lol. Then we headed back to her place and did some pc work, loaded up the rocks I mentioned earlier. And stayed for a wonderful supper. Now we are in for storms tonight. I can hear/see it coming in. They are calling for large hail and bad winds. I guess it’s the price we pay for a summer day in the fall! |
