Back Finally

Posted in Just Thoughts

WOW It seems to have been forever since I've been able to sit down here.  Things have just been so busy here.  Lets see, Last Fri Amanda was over for a visit and we went shopping together.  Our family's were able to visit latter that evening also and had a wonderful time!
When I was out shopping I found some nice fleece that I will be turning into blankets for gifts this year.  I still need to get some more though!

I wasn't feeling well on Saturday, up a lot with the baby.  She's getting a new tooth and wants to nurse all night lol.  So I got a lot done in the morning but then slowed down as the day went on.  Dh did  a lot of work in the barn though.  He cleaned it out well and moved his cages around.  Then finished hooking up water lines to all the cages.  It's so nice to have them all on automated water now!  He had hooked half of them up a few months ago and just didn't have time to get back to it.
Last week we lost a doe for some reason (I think she may have had an infection from birthing, but showed no symptoms) she had 5 babies about a week old.  The only doe who's litter was the same age/size already had 9!  So I couldn't foster them with her.  I split them up between two other litters a week older, not expecting them to make it.  They were so much smaller then the other ones I didn't think they would compete well for food.  But thankfully they are doing great so far!!

Sunday we went to our friends hot dog stand for lunch and had a nice time visiting with her.  Then went to the park were we met another friend to go hiking for a bit.  Then came home and played with the girls in the yard before having supper and off to bed for them.  Later that night we watched a documentary on a red cross surgeon it was really good!

One other thing we discovered this weekend was two yellow jacket nest grrrr.  They are on both sides of the window peek in the hall way (out side).  We can see them getting in under the steel roof area and can hear some thing in the attic.  YIKES!  Dh got some spray today but it was raining to heavy for him to spray it.  He'll try tomorrow.  I'm just hoping that it will kill them and not drive them into the house.....If so we'll have to take off to a friends until dh gets rid of them all.

Other then that today I've been trying to get caught up.  I have all the dishes but one load left to do.   Washed 3 loads of laundry, scrubbed the counters down, and vacuumed the floor, and did Laura's reading/writing lessons for the day.  Not to bad since we were out all morning tyring to find a place that had hornet blaster.  Must be a lot of people having problems this year!
