Arrrg Yarn!

Well I'm TRYING to work on my shawl. The pattern I'm using calls for homespun yarn. You can't find that anyware local here and I'd have to order from the US or try getting to a larger city (not going to happen any time soon). So I was told that red heart light and lofty would sub just fine. Well this is the first time I've ever worked with this and I HATE it so far! I'm using a multi blue one and it's impossible to see the stitches (I never have trouble even with black yarn or multi in other yarns) and it's so fuzzy it's very hard to pull the stitches through. I'm getting really frustrated !! LOL I have a LOT of these to make up as gifts this year and I've already had to rip this one out 4 times!
Pattern says to use a 9mm hook tried that it's to small for the yarn. I'm using a 10 and it works better but it's still a pain...Anyone else have trouble with this yarn or is it just me??? |
