I'm am happy to report that finally we are all doing well again, aside from a little cough.
Yesterday was Ziggy's first day out of the house in more then a week. We went to a special fund raising event for Big Brothers, Big Sisters in our town. We had raised a little bit of money for them and we had the chance to go curling and have free pizza. We had a lot of fun.
Ziggy and I were on the same curling team along with another mother and her 6 year old boy. So, two mothers who had each played once before in their lives, last year, and our six year old sons who were both quite serious about it and did a fantastic job. We played against a team from the Scotia Bank that was made up of 4 ladies, one of which seemed know all the ins and outs of the whole game. They were pretty serious about winning. They shouted instructions at each other across the rink on how to hold the stone just right and to curve it down the ice and to try to aim for this or that angle in order to either knock us out or get them in the bulls eye.
I just had to laugh. Our team had no experience and we just played for whatever looked good. I told little D to ease off on his toss because he was such a big strong six year old and I told Ziggy to push with everything he had so he could get the rock moving. We had a lot of fun fumbling through our game.
Ziggy's hardest toss ended up to just right for just reaching the target. Little D, seemed to figure out that if he eased off just a tad he could also hit the target, and us two mothers did the best we could and.....Huray! We won.
I did notice though that the opposing team finally did decide to just do what ever and try not to be so technical about it later in the game. I heard one say, "Just toss the thing! It seems to just work better that way anyway!"
Our church was well represented at the fund raiser yesterday. We had 3 SDA teams. There were 2 Scotia Bank teams and one other. So, our church represented half the people at this event. I was very proud of everyone for pitching in.
Hurray!

I'm cheering because of Ziggy's recovery and of course for winning a game at curling. Al my kids are winers.
