Trials of life.

I have been saving for a green house for the last long while so that I can grow a bigger and better garden this year. Well, since Murphy's law is followed quite religiously in our household, fate would have it that we had visitors show up just about the time when our money was low and our food too. So to feed the extra mouths I dipped into my savings. I figured our child tax benifit cheque would be coming in soon so that would fill in the blanks again but nope!! It never came this month at all! (I called today and they are going to re-issue another cheque) Aagh!! The snow is melting and I'm ready to build or at least start building and finish when I get the rest of my money but last night while I was industriously sewing on another quilt to sell, I was thinking, "My, how I love my machine!! It does such a wonderful job and it is so cool!" Just about then it went "Ker - chunk, munch, crunch!!!" and that was the end of my nice sewing machine!! The market will open up in a couple of weeks and I need a sewing machine now! Walmart would not take it back because they don't carry that model any more (Such service!) and so I had to dip into my greenhouse money again and buy myself a new sewing machine. Now my money for my greenhouse is completely gone! (Big sigh)
So now I have to start all over in saving. We also got told today that Yukon Housing will not be able to give us a mortgage lown on a house because they went way over budget last year and this year their budget was cut small and also the fact that we don't have the 2.5% down payment they would like to have. Whaaaaaa! So, we just have to pay rent for another year and put $12,000 dollars into our neighbors morgage!
OH well! On a happier note: I finished another quilt and it turned out beautiful and I'm happy! It is called "Midnight". My husband and I went to bed last night at about midnight and it was still dusk outside. I think that is so cool! By July midnight will look like it does in the picture. I love it!

Sorry about the green house and the loan. Murphy's law is always a pain.

The quilt turned out beautiful. You are very talented. May God use your talents to supply the extra you need. It is hard to understand sometimes why things happen when they do. Like an unavoidable emergency room visit when resources are already low. (that happened this week). But I am going to pray that God gives you the increase to purchase your green house. In the Lord's strength,
Penny

That happens to me all the time. Just when I think I have met my savings goal, something always comes up and I have to dip into savings. Keep saving, you'll get there sooner than you think.
sell the quilt

We can do some other thing... i was actually thinking it would be fun for them to design a quilt with the classes motto or something. I have some ideas. It's okay. We'll figure it out. You need the money.
