Posted in On the Homestead
It has been a wonderful day here in NC. It has been much cooler than the past few weeks with even colder temps. expected tomorrow and Friday. I am so glad that I don't have to deal with low temps. like the rest of the country does. I like cool weather, not the bone chilling cold stuff though.
It never ceases to amaze me how change can take place and you don't even know it. Time moves along and you think things are great only to find out that you really didn't know what you thought you did.
That's just how this new year has started out for me. Nevertheless, it can't happen without the knowlege of THE LORD, so I move along accordingly, praying that I am making the right decisions. (Only THE LORD knows that.)
School has been moving along really well for the past 2 weeks. We are back into the groove of things in that department. I am always glad to see the second semester come on my homeschooling endeavor. It lets me know that we are half way through another year . When I realize how long I have been at this, it just amazes me. It really is an honor to train my children in the "knowlege of THE LORD." It is only by HIS grace that I have lasted this long.
My kids and I will start a new 4-H group in Feb. It will be a Homesteading Club. It was originally the livestock club. I believe that we will learn more through this club and be able to take that knowlege and apply it to our own homesteads. I can use every bit of help that I can and know that I will be in the hands of a very experienced fellow Homesteader. (The Sweet LORD knows that I need it.)
Tomorrow looks to be a busy day. Hubby and I will be heading to the tax man. (oh the joys.)
After that, we will take the kids out to lunch (a rare thing to do indeed) and then head off to the ice skating rink. We are suppose to meet up with 2 other homechooling families to plan the rest of the years activities.
We have become a small group as of late. That's okay though. When this group was started I prayed that THE LORD would bring those HE wanted into the group. He has so far done just that. We have had many leave and go onto other endeavors in the past year. I know from experience myself that people just have to move on sometimes. They are missed nonetheless and I pray that they will grow wherever THE LORD leads them.(we will miss you and your family, dear friend!)
Anyway, I need to go and get ready for Wednesday's service. I pray you all have a blessed day in THE LORD! Stay warm and safe!
