A Heart For Home

Homestead Happenings

Good Morning Fellow Homesteaders and those at heart!  This week is starting out much better than the previous 2 weeks. I believe that we are FINALLY over with the germs around here. It has been almost a week since the last appearing of the "uck" bug. I pray that I havve seen the last of germs around here for a while.

I would really covet prayers from all of you who pass this way. Hubby's hours have been cut. It was a rumor that has transpired. I must say that  I am somewhat worried even though I know The Lord tells me not to be. I am also no longer watching the baby so that cuts out the extra money that we were using. (the baby's Daddy was laid off last week.)

However, I am so thankful that I have just about everything that I will need for the kids schooling this year. The Lord provided for my family long before we knew this was coming. I have 2 really good Homeschooling friends that let me have their curriculum for my 10th grader. I am set for the year with her. I only had to buy my DS's math, because I started collecting DS's curriculum last year. So we are set with that need and so thankful for the provision. It would have cost me about $650 for their curriculum, had not The Lord provided before hand. God is always so good!

I also have some other concerns that I cannot express on this blog. I have felt The Lord dealing with me on some issues that I need to resolve. I have just had a hard time for the past year and don't know what way to turn. Please keep me in your prayers if The Lord brings me to your mind.

I didn't mean for this blog to sound so down. No matter what, I know that The Lord of all is in control and will lead me if I stay with Him. "Seek ye first the kingdom of God." To Him be the glory always!

Bless all who pass this way!

Hello!

Sorry it's been so long since I've visited...my loss, entirely! :-) Love your blog.

Praying for your dh's hours and all. My dh was laid off for 7 months a few years ago, and the Lord was so good to us, too. Like you, I collected things as I could afford them and as they came my way...ahead of time. It was a blessing when dh wasn't working!

Also, loved the article, below, about how our ancestors lived off the grid. Thanks for posting that.

Blessings from Ohio, Kim Wolf<><
