FREE Corn & History Lessons! God is So GOOD!

Good Afternoon Family & Friends! It has been a busy week around the homestead. I pray that the "uck bug" has finally passed its way through my home. Everyone got it with the exception of my Dd (17) . Prayerfully it wil by pass her all together!
Well, I ended up with about 450 ears of corn all for FREE this week! Hubby's friend (the one that gave us all of our strawberries) surprised us on Wednesday night with a truckload of fresh silver queen corn. I actually had too much! So the Lord blessed me with being able to share it with some friends. I put away 200 ears and gave the rest away. I am so glad that I was able to give the rest away and not have to trash any of it. God is SO good and always full of surprises and ALWAYS meeting our needs!
I have also been working on DD's history for the upcoming school year. I have decided to reject the "textbook" and go with Living History books instead. I have a U.S. History book that I am using to guide me along the way. This is so new to me and the kids. They just need something besides the old dry textbook history. DD (14) says that it looks like it will be an interesting year. I have always heard that it is best to learn from direct sources (makes sense) so hence the new approach this year!
Well, I need to go. A good friend has loaned me a program to use on my computer to get it going again. I will sit down tonight and see what can be done to get back online again. Thank you Mrs. D!
Bless all who pass this way!
