Welcome to June!!!

It's so hard to believe it's already June, where did the rest of the year go?!  Time really does go by far to fast.  But on another note I love the warmer months, with the sun out so bright, the wind blowing a gentle warm breeze (well most of the time),the birds chirping, rappits rasing by,squirrels and chip munks coming down from high in the trees in our back yard to take a peak at me in the mornings,(I think they are just as curious about me as I am of them). Yesterday Carissa and I were taking a break and sitting out there,it's much cooler back there with all the trees, and a small bird came and rested on her horse for just a moment and then off it went.  It's a wonderful treat to see all of God's creatures come for a visit.

We worked on the garden some but not as much as I would have liked because it was so so hot the past week or so and very very humid.  I went to go and work in the other evening and when I got to it I found John was standing there watering it. .  Since I couldn't weed it I decided to fix up my little contraption for the peas.  We set up 4 stakes not really big ones and tied garden string to each stake on the top and bottom and then individual strings up and down in front of the pea plants.  It looks funny but when I went yesterday to check on it the peas were already laching onto it. I'll get a picture of it so ya'll can see what I'm talking about. I have a bloom on one of my pepper plants and my tomato plants are looking big and strong,I have prayed over the garden for it to be blessed for us and others we give food to so I know we will have plenty.  God is good!!!

My grandmother called me the other day and asked me if I needed some blankets. I told her yes.  She is going to give me as many of my Great Grandmothers blankets as I want.  My Great Grandmother is full blooded Cherokee this is such a blessing.  I love getting pieces of my herritage.  The other side is full blooded German,LOL some mixture huh. LOL  People ask me what I am and I tell them they look at me funny.  I smile and say "yes you put a Cherokee and a German together and you get me."

I don't know much about my German family only that, that side of my family has only been in America for now 3 generations.  My Great Grandparents migrated over here with my Grandfather. They never did learn English.

The Cherokee side is hard to find anything that has been passed down as my family didn't take care of things.   I know the last name my family has was English given it's not native and my Grandmother doesn't know where anything else is. I wish I could get my hands on some of the stuff and keep it for my children and grandchildren. I think it's so important to know where you have come from and respect it.

I have to do my mom's hair today and have to go to her house to do this.  My nephew is still at my parents but my brother and parents are getting ready for a battle with the birth mother. She was to take him and give him to her grandmother.  My brother said no.  She is getting nasty about all this.  He has filled out and filed papers for custody.  Now they are shopping around for a good Lawyer.  Please keep him in your prayers, the little guy really does need it.

Well I have bored ya'll for far to long and I have tons to do here before I go over my mom's to help her.  So I'll yack at ya'll later on.

I hope you all have a wonderful day!!!

God Bless,

Tammy
