Good morning everyone. It's still raining on my end of the world. Last night was something. They had the track meet. So I took my youngest 2 to my mom's and then came back and got Jason. We left and picked up something to eat and headed for the track. It was backed and we got there like 25 minutes early. I finally found one of the last 3 parking places and grabbed one. We unloaded our stuff and started walking to the track. There was buses there from Kanawha County,Gilmer County,Preston County well all in all there were 19 schools there. It was suppose to start at 4 pm but when we got there we got storm # 1 and had to wait. Finally I think it started at like 5:30 or something like that. It rained until about 6 or 6:30 or at least I think it did. It was a fine rain then a down pour and then do it all over again. Then when Jason had his last event of the night it poured it down. But he did so well ran like a bullet against kids that were so so awesome. He held his own. I was so proud of him. As soon as he was finished we left.
John went into work this morning for a few hours. I'm feeling alot better but I'm hoping that being out in that stuff last night isn't going to make me worse. I had a golf size umbrella so I stayed pretty dry but it was just so damp out. I have laundry to do. The floors of course need swept and a damp mop needs to be ran over them from the mud tracks the dogs brought in. There's just basic cleaning that needs to be done to keep the house up.
Yesterday I got the front porch all cleaned off,Jason washed the siding down and the vinyl window sills and the wood around them for me and the storm door. I have one flower bed cleaned out thanks to Brandon and now I have one more to do. I took my winter curtains down and put up my summer/spring ones. So I need to wash those up and store them away for next season. I love my thinner curtains they give the living room an airy light feeling.
Dinner tonight will be the chicken & noodle dinner that I was going to make last night.
God Bless, Tammy |
